About the Sichuan scholars, Wanglin, Peiran, Cloud and HuiQing are from ChongQing, which is like about 2 hours away from SiChuan, if I'm not wrong.
The last I heard from them, they're safe and sound with their families back at home, with the exception of Peiran, who, I believe, is having the time of his life in Germany (summer immersion) and has fallen in love WITH Heidelberg (which is a city, not a person)!!!
I haven't heard from HuiQing though... But I think she has summer immersion in Germany too.
